Microsoft offers several Accelerators at no additional charge to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. Check them out at http://codeplex.com/crmaccelerators. I will be covering these in more detail over the next few months. 10/7/2008 On October 6th, the Mono Project finally released version 2.0. So what is Mono and why should you care? Well, Mono allows for Microsoft .NET Framework based applications to be run on non-Windows based Operating Systems like Mac, Linux, BSD and many others (here is a list of support OSes). The reason why you should care is that this can dramatically reduce your costs for things like webhosting. So no longer can Microsoft bashers say that Microsoft .NET will only run on Windows. Now, Mono is designed to work against the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and is not 100% compatible. While Microsoft has currently released three updates to the .NET Framework since then (3.0, 3.5, and 3.5 SP1). Another thing about Mono is the it is sponsored by Novell and is an open source project.
